New stairs.

From the citrus orchard to the vegetable garden.
From the shed and washline to the house.

Ginger, ginger, ginger.

It's hard to imagine that I got nearly 2 kg's of ginger from a patch of dirt that is only 60cm x 60 cm.

Early morning walks

I love my morning walks. There is always something different to see and it's so peaceful.

This is the monster we spend lots of time with in summer. It keeps us fit, is more fun than going to the gym and keeps the grass looking like a carpet. At this time of the year we're glad that we can put him away for a couple of months while the weather is cooler. Now is the time for cutting and carrying firewood to keep us fit. In our patch of paradise the work just never ends.. Love it!!

Snakes and cats

After relaxing in the sun she showed me the big carpet snake. Knowing that carpet snakes are not poisonous I was more intrigued than afraid, but this one was big enough to make a meal of one of our pussycats. So for the rest of the day the cats were confined to the house. I am hoping the disturbed sleep will have this carpet snake move on away from here.
