We are harvesting or almost harvesting all the veg we put in this winter. The cabbages are delicious in chow mein. I can't wait for the red cabbages to mature as they are my favourites. I love them pickled with malt vinegar and ginger. The black kale has a strange lumpy type of leaf, and is just as delicious as the curly and russian varieties. The broad beans aren't quite ready yet and the garlic should be ready to harvest in September.

This is a late cauliflower, but it is healthier looking than the ones I harvested last month. Winter is still here until the end of August, but someone forgot to tell the weather and we have 28 to 30 degrees each day. We don't even have the fire on at night any more. Quite a change from a few weeks ago.
